Join us for a laid-back journey through the world of olive oil. We’ll be opening plenty of bottles and tasting some classic styles from countries such as Italy, Spain, Tunisia, Greece and France, all fresh from the latest harvest, and from some of the world’s top estates.
We’ll walk you through kitchen fundamentals such as how and when to cook with olive oil, what to look out for when you’re buying it and a whole lot more.
Most importantly, we’ll talk pairing including how to judge what oil might go well with fish, meat, salad and so on as well as how a sense of place and geography might influence your choice of oil. We’ll put the bottles we’ve opened to good use and dive into some practical tastings, matching oils not only with bread but other ingredients such as cheese, yoghurt and even chocolate.
If you like any of the oils you taste, we’ll have some on hand to buy on the night.
