We are getting back to basics! Join us for an alfresco class where you’ll learn how to master the art of making a wood fire and cooking delicious fresh food, in a rustic stripped-back style. Safe and totally socially distanced in the heart of the Oxfordshire countryside!
John will teach you how to build your own fire pit, mange your fire, how to cook on direct and indirect heat, as well as the art of Dutch oven and pit cooking.
Not only that but join Justine, our foraging expert, to forage for the other part of your meal. November is one of the best months for foraging – think greens, flowers, nuts and fungi to be found on chilly walks – oyster mushrooms, chickweed, navelwort, winter chanterelles and whatever we find on the day!
We will then return and start the cooking together around the fire pit. Think baked Camembert, roasted root vegetables, spatchcock poussin, catch of the day fish wrapped in banana leaves and all your foraged treasures!
What better way to spend the day than being in the fresh air, sitting around a fire and eating fabulous food!
We know that this is going to be an extremely popular class so book fast to avoid disappointment!
