Fermented Soft Drinks with Anna Drozdova – Sunday 20th May 2018 – 1.30pm – 4.30pm


Kefir, Kefir, Kefir…. you hear about it everywhere but do you know why you should be making your own!!!¬† We have run this class before and it was totally sold out… want to learn more about why we should all be healing our guts and with what?
We will look a bit into history of soft fermented drinks, discuss the health benefits, cover a bit on beneficial microorganisms and why they are so important, then we will discuss each of these drinks: kombucha, water kefir, ginger beer, tepache, beetroot kvass, bread kvass, fermented soda, as in what they are and how to make them and how to consume them. Participants will make a batch of water kefir and start a ginger bug, as well as have an opportunity to taste all of the drinks discussed at the class.
You will also discover ways of using these drinks in other ferments and will go home with your own water kefir grains, ginger bug and enough knowledge to experiment further – what are you waiting for?!
