Welcome to our second Chef’s Table event at Branca Restaurant in Walton Street, Oxford which we will be holding every Thursday in January and hopefully beyond!
This is not a cookery lesson – instead it is your chance to dine and experience the new individual spaces in the extended Branca restaurant with our chefs cooking for you!

Ursula is an acclaimed and experienced food writer and chef who embodies the Italian passion for good food made with the freshest ingredients and also with a hefty 18 books to her name!
“The food of Sicily is like the people – warm, generous, unexpected and comforting. It has one of the world’s best cuisines thanks to the complex influences and fusion of flavours left behind by the Greeks, Romans, Arabs, Normans and Spanish who at some point occupied this beautiful island.
To incorporate all these influences I have put together a very regional menu which I know will bring Sicily and all its vibrant beauty and life to Branca on a cold January evening!
Gnocco fritto con salumi – Fried gnocchi with salami with various antipasti ie olives, artichokes,
Pappardelle con anatra – Pappardelle with duck ragu or
Rigatoni alla Norma con ricotta – Rigatoni Norma with ricotta
Pane rimacinati – Semolina mountrain bread with sesame seeds
Insalata di cavolfiori – Pickled cauliflower salad
Crostata di ricotta a cioccolata – Chocolate and ricotta tart
