The Cretan Kitchen with Rosemary Barron – Saturday 21st April 2018 @ 11am – 2pm

A very warm welcome to Rosemary Barron and her first class with us at the Jericho Kitchen – and a class not to miss if you love Cretan food!   Rosemary is probably one of the most qualified people to run this class (in my humble opinion!) having a professional interest in food and wine that started when she lived in San Francisco during a time of extraordinary innovation and creativity in the city’s gastronomic life. This led her to Greece to establish a cookery school, Kandra Kitchen Crete. Named by Vogue magazine as ‘one of the best cookery schools in Europe’, Kandra Kitchen was one of the first community-based cookery schools to attract international attention.

So credentials confirmed now the menu! We will be heading fast towards late spring and with blue skies and warm winds in mind and with Rosemary guiding you through the following dishes we feel that this is going to be a very special class!

  • Smoked fish salad with cucumber & capers
  • Paximadia salad   (bread ‘rusks’, tomatoes, herbs, feta cheese)
  • Aubergines in tomato-herb sauce and Marinated olive
  • Pork with lentils and bitter greens
  • Figs in bay laurel syrup with herb-scented cheese

Definitely one not to miss!
